The city of Chur was very clean, though everything was expensive. Looking at some restaurants' menus confirmed that this has been the most expensive city we've visited since Oslo. The people we encountered were very helpful and friendly. The rail ticket vendor in the train station stamped our Italian Rail Pass and empathized with our struggle in Munich. The lady at the hotel was courteous and had us checked in right away. The woman at the train station grocery store gave us a couple sets of plastic utensils. Finally, the railway attendant on the Bernina Express was probably the most friendly guy we have met on this trip (though the engine break down left him visibly distraught).
What we liked:
- Friendly people
What we didn't like:
- Expensive
Interesting findings:
- Very colourful money
*Daryl twisting to get a view of an aqueduct
*Unfortunately, we are a bit washed out from the flash (people seem confused by our camera and the automatic setting doesn't take a great picture)
